The residents of Revera’s Victoria Place in Kitchener were treated to an eventful evening to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment. The event room was filled with special amenities like a champagne fountain, a commemorative ice sculpture, hors d’oeuvres, deserts and the Never Forget Photo open air photobooth.
A hired band crooned residents and their family members with hits from the ’50s and ’60s as they enjoyed the evening. The photobooth was well received at the anniversary party as guests were eager to get as many photobooth sessions as possible in the booked time. Pictures were printed in black and white on a classic 2×6 photo strip. Laughter and song filled the room even when the band stopped playing. It was a touching moment when one resident was given the floor to break out into an a cappella rendition of an Elvis Classic, “Heartbreak Hotel”.
Congratulations to Victoria Place and cheers to another 50 years!
